Following the government announcement on Monday 21st February.

We believe we will be able to re-commence sessions from Monday 29th March.

Firstly we will finish the block of sessions started way back in October, using the same distancing and covid safety rules as before this last lockdown. We will email all those booked on to this block as soon as we have confirmed the dates with the track.

The following block of sessions will hopefully start from Monday 26th, Wednesday 28th April and Saturday 1st May 2021. We will send booking details for this block to all our registered athletes towards the end of March.

There are many differences from how we used to run the sessions, hopefully most of these will only be temporary, they include

Young athlete clubs and academies

365 has the experience to help clubs, or other organisations, set up young athlete sections, be they academies or feeder clubs. Our principals established the highly successful Bees Academy that acts as a feeder to Blackheath & Bromley Harriers AC. The Bees Academy regularly takes in over 200 young athletes each week, between school year Reception and school year 8, during term time.

365 Athletics Academy also operates a Bees Outreach scheme using the same principals as the Bees Academy scheme held at Norman Park. The scheme runs as clubs at schools being either a before school club or as an after school club. These clubs include elements of cross country as well as typical athletics. The emphasis of any Outreach club can be tailored to suit the schools needs. Bees Outreach clubs are funded by the parents with a percentage of the charge going back into school funds.

All elements of the set-up including the athlete database, website, online booking, marketing, management and the actual delivery of the individual coaching sessions are undertaken or overseen by 365. 365 sees this activity as an extremely important facet to the long term development of athletes, the emphasis at this stage being more on process rather than outcome.

  • "As a parent the benefit gained from the Bees Academy can be summarised in the words of my child, "It's fun because there are lots of different events to do from the hammer to obstacle relays, it's healthy, it's a chance to make new friends and grow bigger muscles"

+   In my view the Bees Academy is an excellent opportunity for my child to participate in a wide range of athletic events within a safe and professionally organised sporting environment. I can see real changes in her agility, speed, strength and confidence. I am sure these changes will help set a firm foundation for a healthy lifestyle in later life." David Bruney, Parent
  • Just a quick thanks to all those who make the Bees session happen. It was our first time and he really enjoyed himself. Really great folk instructing the kids and a tea stall (bonus). Look forward to regularly attending.
